Authorities expanded the area for escaped murderer, Danelo Cavalcante

Danelo Cavalcante (Brazilian National) was convicted of killing his former girlfriend, Deborah Brandão, 33 years old and was sentenced to life without parole. He is also a wanted in a 2017 murder case in Brazil which led him to run away from the country, said Clark. 

Cavalcante escaped from the Chester County Prison on Thursday evening  at around 8:50 a.m. authorities said. Deb Ryan who is Chester County District Attorney described the murderer as “an extremely dangerous man.” 

A large police force had been hunting this first degree murderer in the heavily wooded area in Chester County and Pocopson within the area of 2 miles from the prison. The area expanded after the security camera found him at Longwood Gardens Monday evening. On Tuesday, 2 school districts closed for expanding the area after authorities said the murderer had widened. Schools and offices are closed today after the announcement of the predicament. 4 sightings of the escaped inmate in a 2 miles area of prison, said Clark.

The authorities are using unique tactics to surrender the killer. Clark said they are urging him to surrender by telling him that his mother and family want to surrender and care about him.  

Authorities continuously encourage people to call police in case they see him and report homes left vacant over Labor Day. Police will check if Cavalcante is using any of those homes to hide.

Police have been investigating the circumstances of how he escaped from the prison. Had he got inside help to escape? How the escapee is getting food and water in this messy wooded area.
